Yarra Boulevard Parking costs doubled!!

I am one of the many people who work in Richmond, Melbourne. For many of us, driving is the safest, quickest and most convenient means of travelling to and from work.

Just last week however, the Yarra City Council had increased car parking costs along the Yarra river (down Yarra Boulevard) which impacted so many of us! They claimed that they did this increase to encourage other means of transportation to be more environmentally friendly, but PLEASEEEEE, they know that if people need to drive, they need to drive, hence, they'll need to pay the increase in parking! (this is so unfair!)..

If we wanted to pay so much for parking, we could have just looked for employment in the CBD (which happens to be just that little bit closer to home) and paid for secured parking.

Please, stop charging us.. we drive there to go to work, and we pay our taxes, which go to you guys, and then you guys charge us even more to go to work! it's a nasty cycle!
