Vacant Block Negligence Baulkham Hills

I sent an email on the 07/09/2009 regarding the vacant block on the corners of Horizons Place and Redden Drive.

The lawns have not been mowed in several months and now it has started to become a dumping ground. I have also noticed cats hunting on the block which indicates to me that there are vermin around.

The residents of Horizons place take great care in looking after the aesthetic value of their street and this block does not keep with in our standards. I Request you contact the owners of this block and ask them to take some urgent action in solving this concerning issue.

This is an example of the wonderful Garden Shires' Council at work living up to the name "Garden Shire".

Have you thought of some Guerilla Gardening? Get the neighbours together, mow it, clean it, and make it attractive yourself. If you looked for the owner through the lands register he/she might even think it wonderful if the locals had use of the area in return for keeping it tidy. Its a win/win.
