Upper Lachlan Council Needs a New General Manager
The Major John Shaw recently announced that he had renewed the contract of the General Manager John Bell for a further five years.
How can this are justified when the management of the Council has been so poor over the last five years. The Council is basically bankrupt; it has too many staff and too many offices. The Council fails to deliver basic services and staff morale is poor.
The Council administration is constantly the subject of complaints to numerous government agencies.
Despite this Council continue to renew the contact of a retired farmer who does not have any qualifications in Local Government Administration.
Why doesn’t the Council advertise the position to attract a qualified local government administrator? The answer is that if an outsider came in, year of mismanagement and neglect would be exposed.

Could not agree mor with this. ULSC have caused so much hardship to so many people, someone needs to be accountable.
I wonder how many people have a story to tell...I certainly did and ULSC staff just argued the point with me until I left the office...just like 100 other people have done. I have enough proof of incompetency, they would have lost in court. I couldn't be bothered with their small town mentalty that persists to this day...if only someone had enough money to take them to the L&E court - I'm sure there would be enough volunteers that would give evidence.
