I am part of a group with over 2,300 members trying to save an area of land at Bambara Road, KARIONG. Gosford Council has refused to listen to community wishes and part with some of the COSS money to purchase the land. They have fought the developer of the land in the Land and Environment Court in June, 2010; spending over $150,000 of ratepayers money. They have refused to budge on purchasing the land and amalgamating it into the surrounding Brisbane Water National Park.

There are 12 endangered, threatened or vulnerable species of flora and fauna found withing Bambara Road yet Council seems reluctant to upgrade its COSS level from 4 to 1, yet have assured us that it is a priority.

I am angry with Council for refusing to consult with us as a group to answer questions we have, instead send us threatening emails regarding breeching privacy.

Council should remember that there is an election in 2013, and that the people of the Central Coast have long memories. I am sick of the environmental vandalism that this inept council is causing and allowing to happen with their blessing.

I CALL FOR GOSFORD COUNCIL TO BE SACKED!!!!
