Pedestrian - Cycle markings

Waverley Council recently published a map for cyclists which is quite helpful if WMC would maintain proper markings. Old South Head Road contains a shared zone. Judging from behaviour of pedestrian and cyclists the section is in a dire need of renewal.
Please do this before somebody is seriously hurt. It would be useful to have some form of subtle demarcations which would help all users.
Same of course is valid for other cycle ways. The marking of is often so faint that is almost invisible.
