Nine Months for DA Approval

Upper Lachlan Shire Council was recently named as being one of the slowest Councils in NSW when it comes to approving DAs.

We recently applied to build a basic project house which had previously been approved by numerous other Councils. We were given the "run around" for nine months before our DA was approved.

The staff at Upper Lachlan are extremely rude and uncoperative when it comes to customer service. Unless you live in Crookwell and personally know the staff, they dont want to know you.

Time to disolve this historic institution and merge it with Goulburn Mulwaree Council

Trouble is there is no accountability - they keep changing their minds and then blame everyone else for not following the 'rules'. It's about time ICAC took a close look at some of the goings on in ULSC. I know of people who have lost out on property sales because of being given misinformation from staff...but remember it is not their fault...just ask them....
