Matcham Rd sign at Intersction of Wambina Road (Emergency Services Issue)

About 18 months ago Gosford Council after much debate and discussion from residents forced the renaming of the northern end of Wambina Rd, to Matcham Rd. They then renumbered all houses in the former Wambina Rd. One of the issues was that one on the residents had required an ambulance for life threatening issues on a couple of occasions and emergency services could not find the address. This was a noble reason, but whether it did improve the situation is debatable.
.
All residents went to great trouble for over twelve months to ensure every bit of correspondence was redirected to the new address. That all licenses etc were changed over. That all family were aware of the address change. It was exactly the same amount of hassle as if you had moved houses. No GPS or Street Directory in Australia however recognizes the new address to this day.
.
Then some hoodlum stole the new street sign. So what does the council do? Replace it with a sign that indicates the Northern end of the new Matcham Rd, says "Wambina Rd". I have been waiting for a couple of weeks for couriers to deliver items and couldn't work out what the issue was, until I looked up at the street sign. We have numbering for Matcham Rd and a sign that says Wambina Rd.
.
So now we have a situation where I hope to hell no one needs an emergency service until the situation is rectified because they are not going to find them. Even the map below to report this calls the renamed section Wambina Rd. Even I am confused about where I live. :(
