Have You Ever Smelled a Prawn After a Week In the Sun

Here in Greater Taree on the north coast our favourite beach for swimming is at Old Bar Beach, 15 mins from Taree. When arriving at the car-park which is free, lucky-us, there is a very large reserve-park with a free council-run swimming pool, several enclosed picnic tables, b-b-q facilities, kids playground and a private kiosk with tables and chairs.

After a week-end of summer-fun activities or a long weekend or school holidays, the garbage bins are really really full of garbage, burgers, fish, prawns, fish heads, dog droppings, curd milk, nappies the usual stuff ppl like to get rid of before going home

BUT

the bins are NOT EMPTIED UNTIL FRIDAY, holy-crap Batman, that means, hoo-boy, what a stink,

Have you ever smelled a prawn after a week in the sun, believe me, you do not want to go swimming at Old Bar Beach after Tuesday arvo with a nor-wester blowing, you will spew your guts before getting anywhere near the beach, and the poor blo**y kiosk owner has to put up with the stinking garbage bins not more than 20 ft from his door,

The answer is so simple, unfortunately, so are our office staff, have garbage pick up on Tuesday, this allows for long weekends, at least this is better than four days away.

You really got to wonder how on earth ppl with supposedly higher intellects above us mere rate-payers can stuff up such a simple exercise in health and hygiene, come on guys, whats the bloody use of health dept. if you don't abide by your own rules.
