Garbage collection trucks in North Sydney

Garbage collection trucks collect refuse several times a week between the hours of 1 – 5 am and make a considerable amount of noise. I don’t understand how the incompetent, inefficient and corrupt Sydney council allows this to happen.

The part I find amusing is this excerpt:

“Although necessary, commercial premises and waste collection services should take care to perform these practices in a sensitive manner that minimises noise impacts upon the community.”

The kind of person who collects garbage in the middle of the night is not likely to the ‘sensitive’ type!

Anyway, I f you are able to sleep through an earthquake then you should be OK.
