Dangerous Hole In Elizabeth Bay Still Not Repaired
This Gripe has been resolved - See the original gripe
I have been complaining on this forum about a Telstra manhole being broken outside 16-18 Roslyn Gardens Elizabeth Bay.
Last week the manhole was finally repaired by Telstra after ONE WHOLE YEAR.
HOWEVER CITY OF SYDNEY COUNCIL NOW NEEDS TO FINISH THE JOB.
Telstra has filled in the foot-wide surrounding pavement with DIRT.
COUNCIL NEEDS TO NOW FINISH THE PAVEMENT WITH CONCRETE/BITUMEN AROUND THE MANHOLE.
I just spoke to Alison Shay of the NSW Ombudsman where I lodged a complaint against Council, who said I need to complain to Council again!!!!! before she can do anything!
I will remind you that I have complained to Council several times already, PLUS I filed a prior online complaint with the NSW Ombudsman over 2 weeks ago which was 'LOST' in the virtual world somehow. Then I had to file a second complaint with them, which Alison is now telling me they can do nothing about & to resend the Council emails I already copied to them!!!!
This is getting out of hand & I JUST WANT A RESOLUTION.
I ALSO WANT A HUGE APOLOGY FROM BOTH COUNCIL AND TELSTRA FOR THE UNBELIEVABLE HOOPS THEY HAVE MADE ME JUMP THROUGH TO GET THIS FIXED.
Enough is enough.
I hope all people become aware of this website & start complaining publicly.

Mention insurance if you intend to make another formal complaint to your council, which possibly has a policy requireing them to contact you by phone or snail mail within two weeks to tell how they plan to fix the problem or give you the reason why it may take longer to address the problem. Be careful some councils have moved to declare people serial whingers. Gosford City Council has a terrible reputation.
